Course Description

The purpose of this intense 40 hour specialized training is to provide nurses with knowledge specific to the pediatric sexual assault examination. Completion of an Adult SANE training is preferred, but not mandatory.

This training does not “certify” the nurse to perform pediatric sexual assault exams. Satisfactory completion indicates that the nurse has attended the training. Post-clinical requirements will be recommended and will become the responsibility of the nurse to arrange after the didactic course.

This course meets the educational guidelines of the International Association of Forensic Nurses.
